Born in the lovely Burgundy region of France during the first quarter of the 18th century, this pearwood buffet features a rectangular top with serpentine front and canted sides, sitting above an exquisite façade. Two doors, adorned with molded panels, open to reveal two inner shelves offering convenient storage opportunities. The scalloped skirt in the front connects the short scrolled feet to one another, while the side panels present a molded decor echoing the front. With its graceful lines and lovely pearwood patina, this "Bourguignonne" Régence chest circa 1715 will bring a touch of French elegance to any bedroom, living room or foyer.
