SOLD - Charleston Desire II, American Contemporary Framed Painting of Square Format

SOLD - 'Charleston Desire II', is a contemporary painting created by American artist Andy Braitman. This square format cityscape features a view of Charleston, with its recognizable church steeple discreetly evoked in the background, while two red busses on the left of the composition provide the perfect accentuation to the rather soft palette of the ensemble. The scene is peaceful and perfectly captures the essence of Charleston. Set inside a simple floater frame, this painting is signed lower right. With its Impressionist facture and large proportions, this American contemporary painting will bring a lively touch to any décor, perhaps placed above a chest of drawers, console table or sofa. Andy Braitman was chosen by Nancy Reagan as one of America's Leading Artists, along with other notable artists such as Frank Stella and Andrew Wyeth, and asked to contribute a decorated Easter egg to the White House. The egg is now on display in the Smithsonian Institute Castle.
