SOLD: A Swedish neoclassical style painted wood sideboard from the early 20th century, with two doors and three drawers. Born in Sweden during the first decade of the 20th century, this elegant sideboard features a rectangular top sitting above a harmonious front. Two doors, opening to reveal inner shelves, flank three central drawers (two small ones followed by a larger one). Delicate low relief-carved rosettes, palmettes and swags adorn the piece while the ensemble is raised on eight tapered legs. The sideboard is painted in a soft grey color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes aiming at brightening the homes during the long winters. With its neoclassical style lines and lovely décor, this Swedish sideboard circa 1910 will bring a graceful touch to any home. The knee height is 21".
