Born in France during the last quarter of the 19th century, this bergère chair features a barrel back accented with two delicate roses and their leaves on the upper rail and two partially upholstered arms with scrolled knuckles. Presenting a custom cushion and recovered with a new neutral fabric, the chair is raised on four fluted legs with toupie feet and carved rosettes on the knees. Painted in a grey green finish showing some distressing, this French Louis XVI style barrelback bergère chair circa 1880 will bring a touch of classical elegance to any living room or bedroom.
