A pair of Danish 18th century Louis XVI painted wood oval back armchairs with bow motifs, scrolled arms and new upholstery. Born in Denmark during the 18th century, each of this pair of wooden armchairs features an oval back accented with a delicately carved bow on its crest. Two open arms with splaying scrolled knuckles are resting on a seat upholstered, along with the back, with a lovely double welt fabric. The chairs are raised on four fluted tapering legs, adorned with rosettes on the knees, and connected to one another through an apron carved with a bow in the front. Painted in a soft color complimenting their Louis XVI lines beautifully, this pair of Danish 18th century armchairs will bring a refined presence to any home, perhaps placed in a living room or bedroom. The seat height is 17" while its depth is 18".
