SOLD - Swedish Two-Part Painted Cabinet from Värmland with Broken Pediment, circa 1834

SOLD - A Swedish mid-19th century two-part painted cabinet from the west-central province of Värmland, with broken pediment and four doors. Created in Sweden circa 1834, this tall painted two-part cabinet attracts our attention with its large broken pediment sitting above two doors opening to inner shelves (including a spoon shelf) and hidden drawers. The central section, made of an open shelf, is resting upon the lower cabinet made of two additional doors. Painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, this tall Swedish cabinet circa 1834 charms us with its nicely distressed finish and linear silhouette, making it a great addition to any living room, dining room, kitchen or foyer.
