SOLD - Swedish Painted Oval Dining Room Table with Four Leaves, Rosettes and Beading

A Swedish Gustavian style painted wood extension dining room table from the 19th century, with four new leaves, carved rosettes, beading and fluted accents. Created in Sweden during the 19th century, this Swedish dining room table features an oval top resting on an elegant apron, accented with carved rosettes on the knees. Raised on six tapered legs with fluted motifs, the table showcases four additional leaves that can be removed at will. While it can be sometimes difficult to find a traditional Swedish table with a carved apron on the extensions, this one presents a continuous apron running through the length, regardless of the number of leaves used. With its soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes and pure lines, this 19th century Swedish Gustavian style oval table will be a great choice to decorate any dining room or breakfast area. The apron height is 25.25" H. Without the leaves, the table is 56.25”. The leaves are 23.5”.
