SOLD - Swedish 1800s Gustavian Period Corner Cabinet with Glass Doors and Reeded Motifs

SOLD A Swedish Gustavian period painted corner cabinet from the early 19th century with glass doors, open shelf, reeded motifs and nicely distressed patina. Created in Sweden during the early years of the 19th century, this Swedish corner cabinet features a convex cornice overhanging two glass doors following the same lines. These doors open to reveal painted inner shelves and rest upon an open shelf area. The lower section, larger in dimensions, is made of two wooden doors, adorned with reeded motifs, flanked with fluted side posts. Raised on bracket feet in the front, the cabinet is painted in a soft color with nice aging, typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes. With its convenient shape, elegant lines and weathered appearance, this Swedish Gustavian corner cabinet circa 1800s will bring a graceful presence to any home, whether placed in a kitchen, living room or dining room.
