SOLD - Swedish Painted Wood Oval Dining Room Table with Four Leaves and Medallions

SOLD - A Swedish Gustavian style painted wood extension dining room table from the 19th century, with four new leaves and carved rosette medallions. Created in Sweden during the 19th century, this Swedish dining room table features an oval top resting on a simple apron, accented with elongated rosettes on the knees. Raised on five tapered legs, the table showcases four leaves that can be removed at will. While it can be sometimes difficult to find a traditional Swedish table with a carved apron on the extensions, this one presents a continuous apron running through the length, regardless of the number of leaves used. With its soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes and pure lines, this 19th century Swedish Gustavian style oval table will be a great choice to decorate any dining room or breakfast area. The apron height is 24.75" H. The width of the leaves is 18.5".
