Created in Sweden during the third quarter of the 18th century, this painted desk features a slanted front that opens to reveal multiple drawers surrounding a central door. The rest of the façade showcases four drawers (thinner at the top), each fitted with ring pulls flanking a central escutcheon. Resting on bracket feet and presenting lateral handles, the desk is painted in a soft finish typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes. With its elegant lines and distressed finish, this painted Baroque slant front desk circa 1770 will make for an excellent addition to any living room or bedroom.
