Dutch Rococo 1790s Painted Linen Press with Carved Crest, Doors and Bombé Chest - MIZZ

A Dutch Rococo painted linen press from the late 18th century, with carved crest, two doors and bombé chest. Created in the Netherlands during the last decade of the 18th century, this tall cabinet features a bonnet type cornice, accented with an exquisite carved shell on the crest. Two large doors open to reveal inner shelves and hidden drawers offering great storage opportunities. The lower section presents a bombé chest showcasing four drawers alternating concave and convex shapes, flanked with canted posts. Fitted with classical hardware, the cabinet is painted in a soft color complimenting the sinuous lines beautifully. Raised on scrolling feet in the front, this Dutch linen press circa 1790 will be a great focal point in any home, whether placed in a living room, bedroom or foyer.
