SOLD - A pair of Swedish Gustavian style painted wood three-drawer chests from the late 19th century, with carved tassels and dentil molding. Created in Sweden during the last quarter of the 19th century, each of this pair of chests features a rectangular top with canted corners in the front, sitting above a dentil molding adorning the three sides. Three dovetailed drawers with diamond motifs and brass hardware make up the rest of the façade. Adorned with carved tassels on the side posts, the chests are raised on short tapered feet, angled on the front. Painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste, this pair of Gustavian style Swedish chests circa 1880 will bring a Classical touch to any bedroom or living room.
