Created in Sweden during the second quarter of the 19th century, this painted bench features a rectangular seat upholstered with a foliage-themed fabric. Adorned with carved waterleaves on the apron, the bench is raised on six fluted legs topped with rosettes on the knees. Painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes aiming at brightening the long dark winters, the bench boasts a nicely weathered patina.
