SOLD - A French Louis XVI style bouillotte table from the 19th century with white marble top, brass gallery, drawers and fluted legs. Created in France during the last decade of the 19th century, this elegant bouillotte table features a white veined marble top surrounded by a delicately pierced brass gallery. An elegant apron is adorned with gilt fluted accents and presents two drawers and two pull-outs. The term bouillotte comes from the card game of the same name (a version of the poker) which became extremely popular in France during the late 18th century. The table is raised on four fluted tapering legs resting on petite brass feet. With its elegant Louis XVI style lines and complimenting colors, this French bouillotte game table circa 1890 will bring a classical presence to any home, perhaps placed in a living room, bedroom or foyer.
