Created in Sweden during the second quarter of the 19th century, This Gustavian chest features a rectangular, slightly raised top with canted corners in the front, sitting above a dentil molding. Three simple drawers below, fitted with Classical hardware make up the façade, while the ensemble is flanked with side posts adorned with carved foliage and fluted motifs. Raised on four tapered feet angled in the front, the chest is painted in a black color showcasing a nicely distressed finish.
