SOLD - A pair of Swedish Gustavian style painted wood chests from the late 19th century, with three drawers, diamond motifs and fluted accents. Created in Sweden during the last quarter of the 19th century, each of this pair of chests features a rectangular top with canted corners in the front, sitting above a carved dentil molding. The façade showcases three graduated drawers adorned with elongated diamonds, all fitted with Classical hardware. Flanked with fluted side posts with carved floral décor, the chests are raised on four tapered feet, angled in the front. Painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, this pair of Swedish Gustavian style painted chests circa 1890 will bring a touch of elegant Classicism to any bedroom or living room.
