SOLD: large French Louis XVI style wooden bookcase from the late 19th century, with two pairs of glass doors, two pairs of wooden doors and Doric pilasters. Created in France during the last quarter of the 19th century, this Louis XVI inspired bookcase features a linear façade perfectly accented by a warm brown patina. The façade is topped with a cavetto style cornice while the upper section showcases two pairs of large glass doors flanked with Doric style pilasters accentuating the general verticality beautifully. These doors open to reveal inner shelves offering convenient storage and display opportunities. The lower section presents a smaller cabinet with two pairs of veneered wooden doors opening to inner shelves. The sides are made of simply recessed panels. The ensemble is resting on bracket feet in the front whose curvy lines compliment the linearity of the façade beautifully.
