SOLD - Swedish Gustavian Style 1850s Oval Dining Room Extension Table with Two Leaves

SOLD - A Swedish Gustavian style painted wood extension dining room table from the mid-19th century, with two new leaves and carved foliage. Created in Sweden during the 1850s, this dining room table features an oval top resting on an elegant apron adorned with carved foliage. Raised on six tapered legs with petite brass feet, the table showcases two leaves that can be removed at will. While it can be sometimes difficult to find a traditional Swedish table with a carved apron on the extensions, this one presents a continuous apron running through the length, regardless of the number of leaves used. Its elegant simplicity, as well as its light color palette typical of the Scandinavian taste, will make this Swedish oval table circa 1850 a perfect choice to decorate any dining room or breakfast area. The apron is 24.8"H.
