A pair of French Louis XV style walnut armchairs from the late 19th century, stamped and upholstered. Born in France during the later years of the 19th century, this pair of walnut armchairs presents the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XV era. Each featuring a curving back topped with a carved crest, the chairs are flanked with scrolling arms. The seat, along with the back and arms, has been newly reupholstered and presents a custom cushion. Each chair is raised on four cabriole legs accented with delicate foliage on the knees and connected to one another through a carved apron in the front. With their elegant Louis XV style lines and lovely walnut patina, these late 19th century French armchairs will bring a refined touch to any living room or bedroom. Each seat is 23" deep.
