A French Louis XVI period carved walnut canapé en corbeille from the late 18th century, with carved roses and upholstery. Created in France during the last quarter of the 18th century, this canapé en corbeille features the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XVI era. A wraparound back is topped with elegant carved roses while the two gracefully curving arms are partially upholstered on the top. The canapé has been reupholstered with a neutral double welt fabric and the seat, which is 24.5" D, presents a custom cushion. Raised on seven fluted legs, the canapé is accented with carved roses on the apron.
