Born in France during the 19th century, this lovely 'bergère à oreilles' features a winged back topped with a carved cartouche in the center of its upper rail, flanked with petite finials. The two arms, providing convenient privacy to the sitter, are adorned with scrolled extremities accented with acanthus leaves. The armchair is upholstered with a new double welt fabric while the seat comprises of a custom cushion. Raised on four fluted legs with carved rosettes on the knees, the bergère presents a carved apron.
