French Louis XV Style 1850s Walnut Buffet with Carved Décor, Drawers and Doors

A French Louis XV style walnut buffet from the Mid-19th Century with two drawers, two carved doors and Rococo style hardware. Created in France during the 1850s, this walnut buffet showcases the stylistic characteristics of the King Louis XV era. The buffet features a rectangular top with rounded corners in the front and rounded edges, sitting above two drawers. Each drawer is made of a carved cartouche surrounding a Rococo style hardware. A carved rosette separates the drawers from one another. The lower section presents two doors with carved panels, opening to inner shelves with weathered appearance. Fluted accents mark the side posts. The sides are made of simply recessed panels and the back is, of course, unfinished. The buffet is raised on two scrolling feet in the front, connected to one another through a carved apron present on three sides. The apron in the front is carved with lucious foliage. With its elegant lines and walnut patina, this French Louis XV style buffet circa 1850 will make for a wonderful addition to any home, placed in a living room or dining room.
