Arriving in Future Shipment - 19th Century French Desk

This is a truly spectacular 19th century French burr walnut leather topped desk. The whole piece is totally original with no major faults. Lovely aged patina to the burgundy leather top. The carved detail on the cabriole legs and the body of the desk gives it a real elegance even though the piece is extremely large. The main feature for me though is the wonderful burr walnut panels used around the entire desk. The only minor faults are light signs of old worm but all treated and no longer active and the right hand drawer lock doesn't work. It is French in origin and reputedly came from a Solicitors in Avignon. Superb quality and a guaranteed feature piece in any office. As stated this came from an esteemed solicitors office in Avignon South of France
