19th century carcel lamp in polished embossed brass, formerly kerosene, newly electrified.
Golden brass socket for bulb mounted on joint (which allows the lampshade to be positioned straight) new wire to standards.
The power supply assembly goes through the inside of the foot.
Its base is in chiseled bronze.
Its barrel is fluted.
Its conical shaped lampshade was created from a fabric by Antoinette Poisson "Canton" decorated with a bird and floral on a white background.
