19th Century Swedish Bureau Circa 1820

This elegant Gustavian bureau, dating to circa 1820-1830, epitomizes the timeless sophistication of Swedish design. Crafted from pine wood, the bureau features a sleek grey-painted exterior and a contrasting white interior, enhancing its classic aesthetic. The central secretary flap opens to reveal a functional workspace, complete with seven small drawers and a compartment with a door, offering ample storage and organization.

The front showcases two spacious drawers, one above and one below the secretary flap, both framed by brass decorative strips and complemented by original brass handles. The slender, tapering legs and fluted decorative details on the sides emphasize the Gustavian style’s hallmark of clean lines and refined ornamentation. Subtle brass accents further enhance the bureau’s understated elegance. Functional and stylish, this bureau is both a practical workspace and a statement piece for any interior. Two keys are included.
