Late 18th Century Small Painted Neoclassical Cabinet

Small wardrobe in fir wood, beautifully painted in lean tempera in shades of white and light brown. The pictorial decoration is elegant and features panels adorned with oval festoon decorations, while the hat is adorned with metopes that recall the classical Greek style, typical of the neoclassical period. The original locks add further value to this valuable piece of furniture. Versatile and refined, it can be used both as a wardrobe and as a cabinet: it also has a good capacity, with four shelves. This wardrobe, the result of the Marche (central-Italy) manufacturing of the late 18th century (around 1790), is able to enrich any environment with style and elegance.
