A pair of French Louis XV period painted communication doors from the mid 18th century, with molded panels and iron hardware. Created in France during the reign of Louis XV le Bien-Aimé (nicknamed the Beloved) in the 1750s, each side of this pair of French doors features a symmetrical arrangement of curving molded panels at the top followed by smaller ones in size adorning the lower section. The ensemble showcases scrolling iron hardware whose dark silver color compliments the doors' grey painted finish beautifully. The Rococo escutcheon and handle on floral backplate complete the panels' design. The back presents a similar décor, more subdued and without the front's scrolling effects. With their lovely patina and soft colors, this pair of 18th century French communication doors circa 1750 will bring a touch of elegance to any room.
