An Austrian unframed oil on canvas painting by Anton Brioschi (30 November 1855, Vienna - 31 August 1920, Vienna) depicting a farm scene with two young maidens. The composition is carefully organized, the right side dedicated to the farm with yellow and green shutters responding to the colors of the landscape around beautifully. The arch marking the entrance to the inner courtyard leads our eye to discover this private settings. The contrast between the light and shadows brings everything together, giving great depth to the ensemble. Anton Brioschi was a scenic designer as well as a graphic artist. His non-theatrical works were mostly landscapes and marine art. This painting is unframed and signed in red lower right.
