A refined Napoleon III side or work table, crafted in fine rosewood veneer with intricate marquetry and delicate brass stringing. The shaped top is richly inlaid with a central motif of a flower-filled vase surrounded by stylized foliage. The top opens to reveal a mirrored interior fitted with small storage compartments, while a single drawer is set discreetly into the apron. Raised on four fluted legs, the table is united by an elegant X-form stretcher centered with a bronze bobèche finial, and rests on original brass casters. This versatile table combines utility and sophistication, making it ideal as a writing, work, or accent piece. Minor brass losses present, consistent with age and use.
