A Louis XVI style mahogany flat desk with two sides and two pull-out slides. It opens in the frieze with three drawers: the central drawer has a lock and key in working order, while the two other drawers open with drop handles. The top and slides are covered in original tan leather in very good condition, tooled in gold. The edge of the top is framed with a brass molding. The uprights are decorated with brass plaques. The four fluted and reeded legs are decorated with a ring at the top and terminate in sabots. The desk frame is made of oak.
