A pair of Swedish barrel back club chairs, circa 1910, repainted in black and newly upholstered in linen. The barrel back, a continuous curved embrace of a form, offers genuine comfort along with a strongly sculptural profile, and early 20th century Swedish examples render it with appealing restraint.
