An Italian Louis XIV style armchair in walnut, 19th century, with a tall arched back and seat upholstered in a multicolor flame-stitch fabric. The frame carries the style's signature elements: boldly scrolled arms on turned supports, ring-turned legs, and an H-stretcher base, all in walnut with a warm aged patina. The bargello-pattern upholstery gives the chair a lively, collected character that works as well in an eclectic modern room as in a traditional study.
