A European composite stone garden urn on pedestal, mid-to-late twentieth century. The piece is modest in scale — suited to a smaller garden space, balcony, or as an accent within a larger arrangement — but well-proportioned, with the urn and pedestal forming a unified composition. Composite stone, cast from a mixture of stone aggregate and cement, was the standard material for English and Continental garden ornament from the mid-twentieth century onward, valued for its durability and ability to develop an authentic aged appearance over time. This example has acquired a weathered patina consistent with decades of outdoor exposure, the surface textured with the soft grey-green bloom of natural weathering. Structurally sound.
