Created in France during the last quarter of the 18th century, this canapé en corbeille features the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XVI era. A wraparound back is topped with elegant carved roses while the two gracefully curving arms are partially upholstered on the top. The canapé has been reupholstered with a neutral double welt fabric and the seat presents a custom cushion. Raised on seven fluted legs, the canapé is accented with carved roses on the apron.
