A pair of eighteenth-century walnut communication doors from Avignon, France. Each door presents shaped panels with sinuous curves — a hallmark of French provincial joinery of the period — reflecting the skilled hand of a regional craftsman working within the Baroque and early Rococo traditions. The original iron hardware, including ornate escutcheons and locks, remains fully intact. The walnut has aged to a lustrous, warm patina over more than two centuries of use. Doors of this type were integral to the formal domestic architecture of Provence, connecting adjoining rooms while preserving the spatial coherence of the period interior. Available in two options, each individually priced. Option A with frame: 50.875 inches wide, 2 inches deep, 90.25 inches tall. Option B with frame: 51 inches wide, 2 inches deep, 90.75 inches tall.
