A Provençale stone jardinière, France, circa 1870, inspired by the Medici Vase. The bell-shaped krater form presents a prominent overhanging lip adorned with waterleaf motifs above a body enriched with low-relief carved scenes — worn smooth through decades of outdoor exposure. Two lateral handles provide visual anchoring and structural support, while the lower register is accented with gadroons. The whole rests on a square base with canted corners. The weathered stone surface carries the character of a piece that has spent its life in a Provençal garden or courtyard. Measures 15.75 inches in diameter, 22.5 inches tall; vase and base together measure 43.5 inches in total height.
