A French painted wood Louis XVI period trumeau mirror from the late 18th century, with foliage, scrollwork and urn motifs. This Louis XVI trumeau mirror features a linear Silhouette beautifully adorned with a delicate décor of fruits and foliage motifs presented in an elegant vessel. This vessel is anchored by an exquisite scrollwork supporting a garland. This upper section is surrounded by petite beads while twisted ribbons on the outer frame create a visual unity with the remaining structure. A recessed panel, adorned with ribbon-tied olive branches separates the upper section from the mirror plate showing nice signs of aging.
