Born in France during the later years of the 19th century, this charming bouillotte table features a variegated marble top surrounded by a delicately pierced brass gallery, sitting above an elegant apron with fluted motifs and comprising of two drawers and two pull-out shelves. The term bouillotte comes from the card game of the same name (a version of the poker) which became extremely popular in France during the late 18th century. The table is raised on four fluted tapering legs resting on petite brass feet. With its elegant Louis XVI style lines and lovely patina, this French wooden bouillotte game table, circa 1890 will bring a graceful presence to any home, whether placed in a living room or bedroom.
