Created in France during the third quarter of the 19th century, this Napoléon III mirror captures our attention with its beautiful carved giltwood frame topped with a hunting trophy themed crest. A ribbon tied bow and arrows as well as a torch are wrapped with delicate flowers and foliage. The rest of the frame is adorned with protruding corners accented with foliage, twisted ribbon and rope as well as delicate beads. The ensemble is surrounding a central mirror plate with slight antiquing and aging. The back is wired, you will be able to hang the mirror vertically. With its golden tones and exquisitely carved décor, this French Napoléon III period vertical giltwood mirror circa 1870 will make for a great focal point in any home, placed above a credenza, console table or sofa.
