Gustavian Style Console Circa 1850
A petite Gustavian-style console table featuring a single drawer and a softly distressed pale blue-and-grey painted finish. Neoclassical ornamentation extends across all four sides, allowing the table to be displayed freely within a room rather than exclusively against a wall. Delicately carved floral garlands, rosettes, beaded borders, and fluted legs lend the piece an elegant architectural quality. Curved stretchers meet at a carved central finial, adding visual interest and stability to its graceful form. Beautifully proportioned and highly versatile, this charming console is ideal for an entryway, beside a chair, or as an occasional table in a living room or bedroom. The painted finish is a classic Gustavian Gray (Gustavian Grey).
