A rare Italian late eighteenth-century wardrobe from the Marche region of central Italy, circa 1790, crafted in solid fir and painted in lean tempera in characteristic tones of white, ivory, and soft brown. The facade presents two paneled doors adorned with oval festoon motifs in the Neoclassical manner, while the sculpted cornice is enriched with Greek key metopes, a hallmark of the period's classical influence on provincial Italian cabinetmaking. Original locks and hardware remain intact throughout, preserving the piece's full authenticity. The interior is fitted with four shelves, providing generous storage suited to wardrobe or cabinet use.
