A set of six Swedish Gustavian style painted wood stick back side chairs from the mid 19th century, with tapered legs, carved rosettes and used upholstery. Created in Sweden during the 1850s, each of this set of six side chairs features a rectangular stick back accented with discreetly carved rosettes, flowing seamlessly into the hind legs. Showcasing seats that are ready to receive a new upholstery, the chairs are raised on tapering legs connected to one another though H-Form stretchers. Painted in a soft color typical of the Scandinavian taste for light palettes, this set of six Gustavian style painted wood side chairs circa 1850 will make for a lovely addition to any dining room or breakfast area.
