This pair of French Louis XV style painted wood horizontal mirrors from the late 19th century showcases exquisite carved shell motifs. Featuring a light grey color accented by cream highlights, their simple linearity enhances their elegant design. The mirror plates are beautifully framed by a molding that delicately curves in the upper section, highlighted by a central shell motif typical of the Rocailles style from King Louis XV's reign. This pair embodies pure elegance with its refined yet understated décor. While the glass is newer than the wooden frames, these mirrors, circa 1890, will make a wonderful addition to any home, especially above demilune tables, buffets, or commodes.
