Pair of Italian Walnut Two-Door Buffets
A pair of Italian buffets in walnut, each with two paneled doors within a molded case, raised on bun feet beneath a molded top. Matched buffets are among the rarest of case-piece pairs, and their symmetry transforms a room: flanking a doorway or fireplace, standing at both ends of a dining room, or bringing order to a long hallway. The walnut has aged to a deep, even tone across the paneled fronts, with the honest surface of long service, and each case offers generous shelf storage behind its doors. Their compact, well-mannered proportions let them serve modern rooms without crowding. Both are sound, with doors operating properly and wear consistent with age.
