Small Italian Walnut Sideboard in Light Blue Paint
A small Italian sideboard of unusually compact scale, in walnut painted a soft light blue, with two doors and two frieze drawers. The doors carry double sculpted panels in relief, framed by side pillars, and the painted surface has mellowed to a beautiful patina that gives the piece its relaxed, sun-washed charm. At just over four feet wide and a slim 14 inches deep, it fits where almost no other sideboard can: a hallway, a bathroom, a breakfast nook, or a small dining room, offering real storage behind its doors without crowding the space. The doors and drawers operate properly, and wear is consistent with age and use.
