A Swedish Gustavian-style chest of drawers dating to circa 1870–1880, finished in black and characterized by restrained Neoclassical detailing.
The rectangular top is framed by decorative quarter-round molding, while the corners of the case feature paired vertical fluting. Three spacious drawers are each centered by a carved decorative motif and fitted with brass handles. The drawers were designed without locks, contributing to the clean, symmetrical appearance of the façade.
Raised on classic tapered legs, the chest combines the simplicity and balanced proportions associated with Gustavian design with a strong black painted finish.
