A Swedish vitrine, circa 1800, in black paint, crowned by a dramatically shaped and molded cornice that gives the piece the architectural silhouette of the finest Scandinavian case furniture. Glazed doors with slender glazing bars enclose a pale shelved interior, displaying ceramics, glass, or books against the soft grey ground, while the two-door base provides concealed storage on shaped feet.
