Crafted in Sweden during the third quarter of the 19th century, this chest features a rectangular top with canted corners above an elegant apron carved with a Greek Key frieze. Its façade showcases three graduated drawers fitted with brass classical hardware, flanked by canted side posts adorned with fluted accents and carved rosettes. The chest is painted in a soft color with a nicely distressed patina, typical of the Swedish preference for light palettes to brighten interiors during dark winters.
