A distinctive Swedish chest of drawers dating to circa 1900–1910, designed in the Gustavian style and finished in black with subtle contrasting highlights.
The upper drawer is distinguished by an unusual concave decorative detail across the drawer front and is fitted with brass knobs. A delicate molding separates the upper drawer from the lower section and continues around the case, adding definition to the restrained form.
The remaining drawers are fitted with brass handles and retain their original locks, accompanied by one key. Chamfered corners are accented with carved decorative details at the top, while classic tapered legs complete the design.
The combination of Gustavian-inspired proportions, architectural detailing, and the strong black painted finish gives this Swedish chest a particularly graphic and elegant presence.
