An early nineteenth-century Tyrolean wardrobe painted in soft alpine blue with finely beveled panel detailing. The two doors are each divided into a pair of hand-painted panels depicting cups and floral bouquets tied with vivid red ribbons, executed in the characteristic decorative vocabulary of Tyrolean folk cabinetmaking. The original client's name and the construction date — 1829 — remain clearly legible on the doors, providing precise and personal provenance. Floral motifs extend to the shoulder areas, enriching the overall decorative program. An inscribed and dated example of this quality is a notable rarity within the Tyrolean painted furniture tradition. Measures 40½ inches wide, 16⅛ inches deep, 61¾ inches tall.
